I know tires have been done to death on here but there are too many posts to find the info. My nearest dealer wanted $127.50 for a replacement rear IRC. When I said I could get a Metzeler for less he looked on his computer & said he could get a Metzeler for $150. They are available by mail order for about $105. Others are as low as $65. I would rather pay more if I can get something that will last more miles.
First, will a 140/90-15 rear tire fit with no interference? More selection and slightly higher overall gear ratio. Second, Is it really necessary to match front & rear tires? The front is fine but the rear is completely worn out.
